Abstract: The collection contains 126 trade and advertising cards, many color lithographs, from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey,
New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere, for products such as bicycles and bicycling; boots and shoes; building materials;
food, drink and restaurants; horse and equine equipment; machinery and equipment; organs and pianos; printing (including lithography)
and photography; railroad locomotives and cars; soap; theater and performance; wringers and washers; also depictions of African
Americans, ‘Uncle Sam’, and Bufford Company (Boston, MA lithographers) advertisement and trade cards.
