Description
Collection consists of six albums of professional and personal materials of architect Vernon W. Houghton. Includes blueprints,
plans, photographs, sketches, correspondence, photostats, and memorabilia. Includes building designs for the
Philippines, San Francisco, San Diego, and the Los Angeles area. Also includes material regarding a 1939 recall election in Arcadia,
spearheaded by Houghton, and letters from California political figures Thomas Kuchel, Stanley Mosk, Jerry Voorhis, and Goodwin
J. Knight.

Property rights to the physical object belong to the UCLA Library, Department of Special Collections. Literary rights, including
