Other Finding Aids

The items in this collection are being individually cataloged by Michael K. MacKenzie, Byckoff's grandson, using three currency catalogs: (1) Kardakov's catalog, in German and Russian, which has no illustrations of the currency; (2) Rybichenkov's catalog, in Russian, which is the most complete catalog but has very few illustrations of the currency; and (3) Pick's Standard Catalog of World Paper Money, in English, which is less complex than the other catalogs. The format used by MacKenzie for listing each item and its catalog numbers from the three catalogs is explained in the key accompanying the item-level description.
At present MacKenzie's item-level description is available for one album, labeled "Crimea" (box 8). As additional albums are cataloged by MacKenzie, the descriptions will be added to the detailed finding aid for this collection, which is available at the Hoover Institution Library & Archives reading room.
