Scope and Content Note

The Television Projects series consists of script pages, scripts and/or sketches written, produced or supervised by Goodman. Included are writings for several musical variety television shows such as The Carol Burnett Show, The Julie Andrews Hour, The Steve Allen Show, and The Flip Wilson Show, among others. The bulk of the series is comprised of material related to Johnny Carson projects including The Tonight Show and The Johnny Carson Show. Additionally, there are audio cassettes related to Goodman's work on Johnny Carson projects which may have used to assist him in the evaluative writing process. The series is arranged into subseries alphabetically by project title. Each subseries is further arranged alphabetically by file title. See also the Unidentified Projects series for possible additional television project material.

Scope and Content Note

The Unidentified Projects series consists of writings that appear to be sketches and sketch ideas for unnamed projects. The bulk of the writings appear to be for television projects which may or may not have been produced. In addition, there are writings created for live performances and/or special appearances for well-known entertainers, such as Johnny Carson and Milton Berle. The series is arranged alphabetically by file titles. Many of the file titles were supplied by the processor to describe the content of the folders.
