Included are a few maps, photographs, 1941-42 and 1988-90, and two letters by Ruetz, 1942 and 1946.

Biographical/Historical Sketch

Joseph H. Ruetz earned his undergraduate degree at Notre Dame in 1938, where he was on the football team. He was on the Stanford football coaching staff from 1951 to 1955, held several fund-raising positions for the University from 1956 to 1972, and was then appointed Director of Athletics, a position he held until his retirement in 1979.
