Collection consists of miscellaneous books, pamphlets, newspapers, photographs, maps, scrapbooks, and ephemera relating to
American and European civil and military participation in World War I. Includes
California War Bulletin,
American Legion Weekly,
J'ai vu,
Mehun News,
L'echo des Guitonnes, and
London Times History of the War. Also includes a complete file of
The Stars and Stripes, the official newspaper of the American expeditionary forces, printed in France from February 8, 1918 to June 13, 1919. Posters
from this collection are in Poster Collection 95.
