Series 6. Notecard Series

Physical Description: 85 linear ft. (170 boxes)

Scope and Content Note

This series contains bibliographical index cards and handwritten notecards; they are preserved in 3x5x12 inch boxes. The original order of the drawers containing these index- and notecards corresponded apparently to Baron's major works, especially his Social and Religious History of the Jews (17 vols., 81 chapters). Unfortunately, this order could not be reconstructed entirely. Approximately the first 100 boxes of this series are divided in alphabetically organized sub-series of bibliographical information. The single works these sub-series belong to were not always identifiable. Boxes no. 507-509 and no. 568 contain notes in Hebrew. The last four boxes of this series contain addresses and invitation cards.
