The collection primarily contains correspondence to Herschel Jones (1861-1928), editor of the Minneapolis Journal and collector of Americana. Correspondents include Charles Evans Hughes, Charles H. Mayo, Thomas Nast, Robert E. Peary, Theodore Roosevelt, and Lillian Russell.
