Description
The Norman T. Herman papers span the years 1955-1980 and encompass 8.5 linear feet. The collection
consists of scripts and production information for most of the films produced by Herman.
Background
Norman T. Herman was an American producer and director. His first film as a producer was SIERRA
STRANGER (1957). Herman went on to produce films for American International Pictures (AIP) such as HOT
ROD GIRL (1956), PSYCH-OUT (1968), BLOODY MAMA (1970), BLACULA (1972), and ROLLING THUNDER (1977). He
also directed TOKYO AFTER DARK (1959) and MONDO TEENO (1967). Herman served as executive producer for IN
GOD WE TRUST (1980).
