Background
Samuel K. Garrett (1913-2003) was a mining engineer based mainly in Idaho. He graduated from the New Mexico School of Mines in 1935 and worked for a range of mining companies, including the Coronado Copper and Zinc Company and the Sunshine Mining Company.
