Scope and Contents

This collection consists of the scripts of American actress Eleanor Audley (1905-1991). Audley acted in animated features, television series, film, Broadway, and radio programs. She voiced several Disney characters, including Lady Tremaine in "Cinderella" (1950); Maleficent in "Sleeping Beauty" (1959); and the voice for Madame Leota, the spirit of a psychic medium, in the Haunted Mansion attractions in Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Biographical / Historical

Eleanor Audley (1905-1991) was an American actress. Audley acted in animated features, television series, film, Broadway, and radio programs. She played the voices of Lady Tremaine in "Cinderella" (1950) and Maleficent in "Sleeping Beauty" (1959). She made television appearances in "I Love Lucy," "The Dick Van Dyke Show," and "The Beverly Hillbillies." Audley is also the voice for Madame Leota, the spirit of a psychic medium, in the Haunted Mansion attractions in Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
