Abstract: William Robert Stark, born in 1930 in Indiana, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1948. Stark served in the Vietnam War and was
interned as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam until 1973.The collection includes a letter, photograph, and prisoner of war
identification bracelet.

William Robert Stark was born in 1930 in Michigan City, Indiana. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1948. While serving in the
Vietnam War and flying a combat mission from USS Enterprise, Stark was forced to eject over North Vietnam on May 19, 1967.
Stark was interned as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam until March 4, 1973.
Scope and Content of Collection
Collection includes a letter, photograph, and prisoner of war identification bracelet.
