Description
The Batchelder family photographs of Eva B. (motor launch), 1937-1949, (SAFR 23355, P11-004) are comprised of 21 color slides depicting the Batchelder family aboard EVA B. as well as showing EVA B. while moored in the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento Delta region of California. The collection has been processed to the item level and is open for use.
Background
EVA B. (motor launch), a Monterey Clipper type vessel, was built circa 1936-1938 by Menotti Pasquinucci (1867-1954) at the foot of Turney Street in Sausalito, California. The Batchelder Family owned the vessel for recreational use until about 1949. New owners later renamed the vessel JUANITA and used her for duck hunting in the Sacramento Delta region. As of 2002, EVA B. is being preserved as part of the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park's small craft collection.
