Phares Rhorabough St. John's Military Academy Scrapbook consists of a single scrapbook
containing clippings and ephemera from Rhorabough's time as a student at St. John's Military
Academy.

Frank Layne Phares Rhoabough was born in West Virginia and attended St. John's Military
Academy from at least 1907 to 1909. St. John's opened in 1884 as a private college
preparatory school located in Delafield, Wisconsin.
The Frank Layne Phares Rhorabough St. John's Military Academy Scrapbook consists of a
single scrapbook containing clippings and ephemera from Rhorabough's time as a student at
St. John's Military Academy. Materials include an Academy regulations booklet, newspaper
clippings, postcards, photographs, athletic meet programs, and holiday programs. Many
clippings relate to the school's sports program including football, basketball, crew,
baseball, hockey, and the Kemper athletic club. There are many images of campus buildings,
an example of Latin homework, and materials related to Camp St. John's. There are also a
small number of images of Georgetown, Kentucky and Belington, West Virginia, as well as
autographs and calling cards from fellow students.
