Friends of Soochow is a non profit corporation dedicated to assisting Soochow University (SU) financially and academically
since 1963.
Scope and Content
Record Series 710 contains the financial records of Friends of Soochow. Records are arranged in two series:
Series 1: Financial records. Materials include balance sheets, financial statements, correspondence, tax forms, reports, and
account information. Account numbers have been removed from this finding aid.
Series 2: Scholarships, fundraising, and Chairs. Files regard scholarships, memorial funds, and awards; fundraising events
including Annual Banquets, Oriental Art Auction, and Philharmonic Chorale Concerts; and endowed Chair positions including
the Bishop T. Otto and Frances Nall Chair of English Literature, Roscoe Pound Professorship of Comparative Law, Joseph K.
Twanmoh Professorship of Comparative Law, Bishop Ralph Ward Chair of Philosophy and Religion, and Arthur N. Young Chair of
Finance.
