The Kansas (built 1905; battleship: U.S. Navy) photograph, 1907-1909, (SAFR 24440, P15-002) is comprised of a photograph of the United States Navy battleship KANSAS during the cruise of the Great White Fleet around the world. Background
KANSAS (built 1905; battleship: U.S. Navy), a Connecticut-class battleship (BB-21), was built by New York Shipbuilding Company in Camden, NJ. She was launched on August 12, 1905 and commissioned in April 1907. She was part of the Great White Fleet which circumnavigated the world in 1907-1909. KANSAS was decommissioned in 1921.
