Biographical / Historical

Inside Cal Poly Pomona was a series of television programs produced by the Office of Public Affairs (later renamed Strategic Communications) in partnership with MediaVision at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. The programs were 30 minutes long and featured interviews with university faculty and staff. They were broadcast over cable television and streamed over the internet to introduce both the campus community and the broader Inland Valley community to the programs and events offered at of Cal Poly Pomona.
Director of Public Affairs Stan Hebert served as host and Associate Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs Ron Simons appeared in the regular segment "Ask Mr. Cal Poly Pomona" to answer questions about campus history. Hebert interviewed other campus guests on a variety of topics including Black History Month celebrations, the Cal Poly Rodeo Team, and the Center for Regenerative Studies.

Scope and Contents

The collection contains video recordings of 14 of the 16 episodes of the television series Inside Cal Poly Pomona produced by the Office of Public Affairs to promote programs and events at California State Polytechnic Univesity, Pomona.

Scope and Contents

At the end of the recording is footage of the construction of the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Ranch in 1925. The footage includes some of the first Arabian horses that Mr. Kellogg purchased and the temporary stables that were constructed for them while their permanent home was being built.
