Abstract: The collection consists of script material; production material, including production-related correspondence; and handwritten
notes. ONE-EYED JACKS is an American feature film directed by Brando and released by Paramount Pictures in 1961. It represents
Brando's sole directorial effort. Of interest are numerous handwritten notes by Brando on the script, editing, and other areas
of production. The material was the personal property of Marlon Brando. There is some preliminary script material for BURST
OF VERMILLION, an unproduced Pennebaker production.

Marlon Brando was an American actor active in film from 1950 to 2001. Brando’s eight Academy Award nominations in the acting
category include a statuette for best actor for ON THE WATERFRONT (1954).
