The master of the vessel was Captain A.D. Cobb. The sea journal was kept by Frank S. Brown who records the daily activity on the vessel, winds, sailors, passing vessels, passengers, fish shales, sharks, and birds, as well as giving the longitude and latitude, knots, and miles out.
