Description
Papers of ethnographer Paul Kutsche, who taught at the Department of Anthropology, Colorado College, Colorado Springs, Colorado. The collection, covering the years 1980-2002, includes correspondence relating to sexual orientation non-discrimination policy in higher education in the United States. The collection includes documents relating to both the Colorado referendum known as Amendment 2, and the Grand Rapids, Michigan, failed ballot initiative to eliminate rights based upon sexual orientation. The collection also contains correspondence with the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, anthropologist Ralph Bolton, psychologist Gregory M. Herek, and political scientist David M. Rayside. There are also clippings, lists, writings by Kutsche, reference materials, agendas, notes, flyers, questionnaires, and course syllabi.
