Description
The Beulah Bondi papers span the years 1904-1980 and encompass 4 linear feet. The collection contains clippings, press releases, correspondence, awards, recordings, photographs, playscripts, teleplays, and a scrapbook. Most of the material on Bondi's film career, entailing clippings and photographs, has been transferred to the Library's Core collection files.
Background
Beulah Bondi was an American actress active in film from 1931 to the 1960s. She was twice nominated for an Academy Award for best actress in a supporting role for THE GORGEOUS HUSSY (1936) and OF HUMAN HEARTS (1938).
