    Abstract: Dudley Gordon was president of the Charles F. Lummis Memorial Association and many of his publications were written about Lummis and the Southwest Museum of the American Indian. This collection contains published articles and manuscripts written by Dudley Gordon during the mid-late 20th Century. This collection also includes pamphlets, ephemera, newspaper clippings, and correspondence related to Charles Fletcher Lummis, the Southwest Museum, Los Angeles history, and the arts.

    Acquisition

    Collection assembled from library acquisitions, 1928-1978. Articles and correspondence by Gordon, donated by Mr. Dudley Gordon and Mrs. Lorraine Gordon, 1978 March 7.

    Biographical Note

    Dudley Gordon taught at Los Angeles City College from 1930 to 1963. He was president of the Charles F. Lummis Memorial Association. Many of his publications were written about Lummis, Lummis' home (El Alisal), and the Southwest Museum of the American Indian.

    This collection contains published articles and manuscripts written by Dudley Gordon during the mid-late 20th Century. This collection also includes pamphlets, ephemera, newspaper clippings, and correspondence related to Charles Fletcher Lummis, Southwest Museum, Los Angeles history, and the arts.
