Description
The contents of the collection consist of  photocopies of scripts for honorarium banquets and other documents; programs and correspondence; the contents of 7 scrapbooks of newspaper articles and memorabilia; photographs of various events; and a guest book from the Jewish Community Center.
Background
A native of Chicago, Eileen Wingard grew up in Los Angeles, where she studied music at UCLA, eventually becoming a Fulbright Scholar, with studies in Germany. As a professional music teacher and violinist, Wingard played with the San Diego Symphony for over 35 years. She also played with the San Diego Opera Orchestra and the La Jolla Chamber Orchestra and has written and lectured extensively on musical topics. She was chair of the Music Committee of the East County (54th St.) JCC and/or its major driving force for over 18 years.
