Stan V. Ballard served with the 8th Air Force in World War Two. As a member of the 100th Bomb Group, he flew missions in B-17
Fortresses. He documented his missions and the time immediately after the War. On one of his missions, his B-17 was badly
damaged, but made it home safely.
