Description
Wesley Ruggles, brother of Charles Ruggles, started his film career as a Keystone Cop and supporting comedy player ca. 1914. The collection consists treatments for television and film projects, synopses, and scripts and correspondence.
Background
Wesley Ruggles was born June 11, 1889 in LA, CA and is the brother of Charles Ruggles; he started his film career as a Keystone Cop and supporting comedy player ca. 1914; he appeared in Chaplin shorts such as The bank (1915) and Triple trouble (1918); his directing career spanned 1918-46 and he is best known for Silk stockings, Cimarron, and I'm no angel; he died in 1972.
