Biography
Kurt Kasznar was an Austrian-born film and stage charactor actor most active from 1952 to 1978. He
came to the United States in the mid-1930s and was drafted into the American army in 1941. His second
wife was actress Leora Dana.
Collection Scope and Content Summary
The Kurt Kasznar papers span the years 1932-1978 (bulk 1960s-1970s) and encompass less than one linear
foot. The collection consists primarily of material related to Kasznar's stage career and includes
clippings and reviews, programs, and play bills. There is only a small amount of material related to his
film and television appearances as well as a small amount of ephemera. There are some clippings on Leora
Dana from the mid-1950s.
