Programs related to the opening of the Bing Concert Hall at Stanford University in 2013.
Background
The Bing Concert Hall opened Friday January 11, 2013. Remarks were made by John L. Hennessy, Peter S. Bing, and Anna Deavere Smith. Performances included the St. Lawrence String Quartet, the San Fransico Symphony, and the Stanford Chamber Chorale. The Stanford Department of Music Showcase was held January 13, 2013 and included performances by SLOrk (Stanford Laptop Orchestra), Student Jazz Sextet, Stanford Woodwind Quintet, Stanford Wind Ensemble, Stanford Philharmonia Orchestra and Stanford Choral Union, Jaroslaw Kapuscinski, Mark Appelbaum, and the Early Music Singers and the Whole Noyse.
