    Scope and Contents

    This is a collection of documents produced by the Bureau of Indian Affairs between January and March 1954. Documents include Survey Report on the Bureau of Indian Affairs, January 6, 1954; Proposed Navajo Grazing Regulations, March 29, 1954; and A Proposed Constitution for the Navajo Tribe, September 15, 1950. The Survey Report on the Bureau of Indian Affairs includes official correspondence from Commissioner Glenn L. Emmons, Assistant Secretary Orme Lewis, and the Survey Team for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The Proposed Navajo Grazing Regulations were prepared by the Sub-Committee for revision of the Navajo Special Grazing Regulations and from the Navajo Tribal Advisory Committee during meetings held in March, 1954 at Window Rock, Arizona.
