Biographical / Historical

Arthur P. Jacobs (1922-1973) was a press agent and film producer. In 1963, Jacobs formed the feature film production company APJAC Productions. He produced the film, "The Chairman" (1969), as well as "Planet of the Apes" (1968, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973), "Doctor Dolittle" (1967), "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" (1969), and "Play It Again, Sam" (1972).

This collection contains production material for the movie, The Chairman (1969), produced by Arthur P. Jacobs (1922-1973). Materials include budgets, script drafts, film stills, correspondence, and publicity material.
