John F. Saladino was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Notre Dame as well as the Yale School of Art and Architecture. He worked under architect Piero Sartogo in Rome before opening his own design practice in New York in 1972. In 1986, Saladino started his own furniture company. He continues to practice today, completing projects around the world. He has a home in Santa Barbara, California.
