Historical note

The Campus Theatre Board, also spelled Campus Theater Board, was founded in 1941. It represents a unification of previous theatrical and performance groups on the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) campus. It is the direct successor of the University Dramatics Society, previously known as Kap and Bells.
Jack Sherman Morrison served at UCLA as director of theater activities from 1938-47, associate professor of theatre arts from 1957-66, and advisor to the dean, UCLA College of Fine Arts beginning in 1982. In 1980 he won the UCLA Life Achievement Award.
