The Tau Alpha Chi fraternity was originally founded in 1983 at Georgia State University. Membership is open to undergraduate,

The Cal Poly Pomona chapter was established in 1994. It sponsored the National Tax Paper Competition, which it won six years

to teach students how to fill a 1040 Federal Tax Return and also participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program
to help students, low-income individuals, and the elderly complete their tax forms. The Cal Poly Pomona chapter of Tau Alpha
Chi dissolved in 2004.
