Administrative History
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at UC San Diego focuses on fostering a campus community
that includes equal opportunities, common respect, cross-cultural partnerships, and a safe and welcoming environment. Units
within this office include the Campus Community Centers, the Center for Faculty Diversity & Inclusion, and several academic
and administrative initiatives.
Vice Chancellors include: Linda S. Greene (Inaugural Vice Chancellor, 2013-2014), Carol Padden (Interim Vice Chancellor, 2014),
and Becky R. Petitt (2015-present).
