Biography
Phyllis de Young Tucker (1892-1998) was one of the owners of the San Francisco Chronicle, and a director of the Chronicle
Publishing Co. Tucker was a civic leader in San Francisco. Her charitable work included founding Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Tucker's husband was banker Nion Tucker, her father was M.H. de Young, and her daughter was Nan McEvoy Tucker.
