Phyllis de Young Tucker Papers 1893-1989

Biography

Phyllis de Young Tucker (1892-1998) was one of the owners of the San Francisco Chronicle, and a director of the Chronicle Publishing Co. Tucker was a civic leader in San Francisco. Her charitable work included founding Guide Dogs for the Blind. Tucker's husband was banker Nion Tucker, her father was M.H. de Young, and her daughter was Nan McEvoy Tucker.

There are 47 VHS tapes and one cassette audiotape. There is a list in Carton 72 that has more information about each tape. Some tapes are numbered. These are primarily stories about McEvoy Ranch, McEvoy olive oil, or California olive oil. Most are from television programs; some may have been produced by McEvoy Ranch. Titles were taken from the tapes/cassette.
