Abstract: The majority of Collection 071 consists of leaflets, pamphlets, programs, photographs, brochures, broadsheets, and newspaper
clippings, on a run of topics that ranges from travel and tourism to Roman Catholicism.

Collection Description
Ephemera are defined as "things lasting only a day" or non-permanent printed items. Items not originally meant to be saved,
such as advertisements, medals, menus, memorabilia and keepsakes, can be found in this collection. The majority of Collection
071 consists of leaflets, pamphlets, programs, photographs, brochures, broadsheets, and newspaper clippings. In total the
collection comprises over 1000 primary-source items dating from the nineteenth century to present day. Most of the collection
dates from the 1950's and 1960's. Donors have included Werner von Boltenstern and Reverend Michael Engh S.J., but the bulk
of the collection consists of gifts from anonymous donors. When possible, accession numbers are noted in the box and folder
entry of an item.
The Ephemera Collection contains a number of documents addressing Catholic and Jesuit interests (Series 3) and a number of
documents related to travel and tourism, both nationally and internationally (Series 1).
