Description
Michael Peter Smith served as Professor of Community Studies and Development at the University of California, Davis from 1986-2010. The collection contains his writings as well as research materials related to his books: Citizenship Across Borders: The Political Transnationalism of El Migrante (2008) and Transnational Urbanism: Locating Globalization (2001).

Michael Peter Smith received his B.A. in Political Science from St. Michael's College (1964), M.A. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (1966), and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (1971).
