Description
Ann P. Meredith is a fine art photographer, writer, director, producer, filmmaker, performance/installation artist and playwright. For many years she lived in Northern California, specifically in Sacramento, Berkeley, Tiburon and Sausalito. This collection contains portraits of gays and lesbians drawn from a larger series of Meredith's work titled WITNESS. The images include lesbians at work, dykes and their dogs, in the military, with HIV/AIDS, with breast cancer, and gays and lesbians in sports among numerous other subjects.
Background
Ann P. Meredith is a fine art photographer, writer, director, producer, filmmaker, performance/installation artist and playwright. Born on June 7, 1948, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Ann lived in Mobile, Alabama; Vienna, Austria; Chateaurou, France; Munich Germany; and Tonopah, Nevada. After graduating high school, she attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, finishing her BA in The History of Art at the University of California at Berkeley.
