Abstract: The University of
California, Irvine Web Archive contains hundreds of websites docuemtning UCI. Most websites
reside within the "uci.edu" domain, but it does contain external sites, videos, and social
media pages. This continuously growing collection documents UCI's administrative and
academic departments, student organizations, faculty and staff, events, milestones, and
publications of UCI.
This collection is open for access. Websites can be accessed through Archive-It
(https://archive-it.org/collections/5613/).
Property rights reside with the University of California. Copyrights are generally retained
by the creators of the records and their heirs. It is the responsibility of the researcher
to determine who holds the copyright and pursue the copyright owner or his or her heir for
permission to publish where the UC Regents do not hold the copyright.

Websites were first harvested in 2012 using the California Digital Library Web Archiving
Service (WAS). In 2015, web archiving services transferred to Archive-It. All sites captured
after 2015 were harvested through Archive-It.
Collection Scope and Content Summary
The University of California, Irvine Web Archive contains hundreds of websites docuemtning
UCI. Most websites reside within the "uci.edu" domain, but it does contain external sites,
videos, and social media pages. This continuously growing collection documents UCI's
administrative and academic departments, student organizations, faculty and staff, events,
milestones, and publications of UCI.
This collection is entirely searchable online through Archive-It. It is not arranged in any
order.
New sites added on a regular basis. Sites are captured monthly, quarterly, or annually.
