Written between 1956-1964, these are thank you letters from Albert Schweitzer to the Atkinson Foundation for monetary gifts to the general hospital and leper village in Lambarn, Gabon. Four of the letters are addressed to Donald K. Grant at the Foundation. Each letter has a portion in English. One letter is written by Marion Mill Preminger, four by Ari Silver. Each letter then has a separate portion hand-written in French by Schweitzer. All letters have English translations. One photograph of the Ogoou River and Lambarn. One photograph of Schweitzer at the leper village.
