Contains correspondence, campaign flyers, pamphlets, election reports, and notes relating to Roberts' campaign for the 14th Congressional District seat in the House of Representatives in 1946. Also includes miscellaneous pamphlets concerning the Republican platform and the Republican party's stand on issues concerning African American rights. A little bit of insight into Roberts' role in the California State Legislature can be gleaned from pamphlets, letterhead listing his committee affiliations, and an article he published on the position of African Americans within the government.
