Description
This collection comprises the stamp and currency collection of Diana Do, a member of the Vietnamese American Coalition and Vietnamese Language Committee in Irvine, California in the 1990s. The collection includes three stamp albums of South Vietnamese stamps dating from circa 1950-1970s as well as more contemporary Vietnamese paper currency. The stamps in particular capture and depict the existence of South Vietnam, officially the "State of Vietnam" and later the "Republic of Vietnam," which governed the southern half of Vietnam from 1949 until 1975.
