Series 1. Personal papers 1904-1974

Series Scope and Content Summary

This series, spanning from 1904 to 1974, consists of papers and scrapbooks that document various stages of Diane Honodel's personal and professional life. It contains personal and biographical materials, including Honodel's baby book (1930) and her resume (1966); correspondence, a sparse diary, handwritten collection of poems, and book of bird sketches from Honodel's youth; and a card file of science facts and activities for students that Honodel compiled as a teaching tool. In addition, this series contains three scrapbooks that are comprised of such items as correspondence, notecards, newspaper clippings, sketches, and photographs. The scrapbook from circa 1904 to 1945 notably contains photographs of Diane Honodel's extended family and newspaper clippings likely collected by Diane's mother, Thelma.
