Sheet music, notebooks, poetry, photographs, correspondence, flyers, advertisements, and personal papers of Shawn Daniel Foreman,
1966-1985. The collection documents Foreman's work with Tommy Powers Presents (erotic photograph mail order), Now Tapes (erotic
video mail order), Now Talk (erotic phone service), and TI-OHM Music; his music career; and his personal life. The collection
includes the poetry and personal papers of Joseph Michael Reed, 1949-1984.
Background
Shawn Daniel Foreman was born March 5, 1947 and studied music at Los Angeles Community College. He worked as a composer, musician,
consultant, and engineer in the music industry. He also briefly operated an erotic mail order business called Tommy Powers
Presents and wrote the score for the erotic video Hot Men Observed. He died June 2, 1985 of AIDS-related complications. Limited information was available regarding Joseph Michael Reed except
that he and Foreman shared the same residence.
