A CD-ROM recounts the history of twenty modernist architects, including: Richard Neutra, Frederick Kiesler, Josef Frank, Bernard Rudofsky, Joseph Urban, Victor Gruen, and Rudolf M. Schindler. The CD-ROM was produced by Science Wonder Productions in cooperation with the Gesellschaft zur Försweunf Moswenwe Kunar and combines over 2,000 images with five hours of spoken text, video, and music.

Planet Architecture: R. M. Schindler 4 houses 1933-1942 CD-ROM contains a video introduction by architect and Schindler scholar Judith Sheine, panoramic views of Schindler homes, images of original Schindler drawings, and sectional studies. The CD-ROM examines four of Schindler’s houses: the Oliver house, the de Keyser house, the Droste house, and the Rodriguez house.

Scope and Content note

A multi-media presentation entitled “Marinas and Recreational areas: A Presentation of New Concepts in Community Recreational Planning” created by the architectural firm of Smith and Williams. This video was created to accompany the Smith and Williams exhibit entitled Wonderlands: Theme Parks, Fairs and Urban Visions from the Smith and Williams Architectural Archives that was shown at the University Art Museum at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2004.

Produced by Barbara Ruland and edited by Gregg Hennessey, Irving Gill’s work is presented in drawings and flat photography but also in footage of his existing buildings.
