Description
Material related to the career of Southern Pacific fireman and locomotive engineer Julius Emeil Muir.
Background
Julius Emeil Muir was born in California on July 16, 1888. He served in World War I as a member of the 31st Railway Engineers of the American Expeditionary Forces. He began his career with Southern Pacific in September of 1912. He was employed as a fireman and later as a locomotive engineer along the Western Division. He died in Sacramento County, September 8, 1955.
