Abstract: The Southeast Asian Student Association (SASA) at UC Irvine was founded in 2012 to provide a network for Southeast Asian Students
and to promote cultural awareness on campus. The Southeast Asian Retention through Creating Hxstory (SEARCH) is a student-initiated
retention project by SASA. This seminar provides a unique foundational experience for students to embrace their identity through
exploring their Southeast Asian hxstory, culture, gender, education, and politics. The collection comprises 16.3 MB of born
digital material documenting the planning and recruitment of SASA-SEARCH, including PowerPoint presentations and information
regarding the SEARCH Seminar 2014. Additional materials include examples of student projects, a SEARCH t-shirt, and materials
from 2015 conferences and 2013-2015 SEA graduation.
