Scope and contents
The Tom Stoddard collection consists of books written by the Tom Stoddard, including The
Autobiography of Pops Foster: New Orleans Jazzman and Jazz on the Barbary Coast; open reel
tape recordings of interviews supporting his research; a collection of historical
photographs and ephemera relating to traditional jazz music of New Orleans and San
Francisco's Barbary Coast; early jazz music periodicals; record catalogs; sheet music and
scores belonging to Sid LeProtti.
