Biographical / Historical
Non-profit public art and literature project which published and displayed contemporary poetry and photography on buses in
multiple cities within the United States, circa 1984-1997.
Custodial History
Burton Weiss purchased the complete literary and political archive of George Evans (including the Streetfare Journal records)
and Daisy Zamora in 2003. Mr. Weiss then donated the materials to The Bancroft Library in 2010. After being acquired by Bancroft,
accessioning and curatorial staff created three collections: the George Evans papers (BANC MSS 2010/255), the Daisy Zamora
papers (BANC MSS 2010/254), and the Streetfare Journal records (BANC MSS 2010/256).

Minimally processed at the box-level by archivist Lara Michels and student processing assistant Malayna Chang in 2023.
