Description
The collection consists of responses to an alcoholism treatment survey conducted from Orange County, California in 1980. Supervisors, staff, and subjects (clients) of alcoholism treatment centers were surveyed on their attitudes toward gays. The creator of the survey remains unknown, however it may be related to the Orange County Gay Alcoholics Needs Assessment Project.

The creator of the survey remains unknown, however it may be related to the Orange County Gay Alcoholics Needs Assessment Project (OCGANAP). OCGANAP presented a preliminary report, Social Environment within Conventional Alcoholism Treatment Agencies as Perceived by Gay and Non-Gay Recovering Alcoholics at the National Council on Alcoholism Convention in Seattle, Washington, on May 03, 1980. Karen A. Jones and J. David Latham of California State University, Fullerton and Marcie D. Jenner of California State University, Long Beach authored the report.
