LeRoy takes a trip by steamer through Hong Kong, Singapore (China), Penang (Malaysia), Colombo (Ceylon, now Sri Lanka), Aden (Yemen), Suez Canal to Port Said (Egypt), and Naples (Italy). He then continues by land to Rome, Venice (Italy), Lucerne (Switzerland), Munich, Mainz, Cologne (Germany), Paris (France), London, Southampton (England), then by steamer to New York. He briefly visits family in New York before continuing cross-country again to San Francisco to return to the Philippines by boat. He pauses only briefly in Manila before continuing to Taipei (Formosa, now Taiwan), Shanghai (China), Moji, Kobe, Yokohama (Japan), then Victoria (Canada), Seattle, Vancouver (Washington), Toronto (Canada), and finally back to New York.

First half describes the comings and goings of his acquaintances. In second half LeRoy travels by ship to via China, Taiwan and Japan to Victoria (Canada), Seattle (Washington), then by train to Toronto (Canada) then Buffalo (New York). He remains in New York visiting family for several months, then journeys by train to Dallas (Texas), where he gets a job in a packing room for a month. He then continues on to San Francisco where he sails to Honolulu (Hawaii).
